The site is currently tested on: Operating System : Microsoft Windows Xp Browser : Internet Explorer 6.0 Fonts : Gautami ( unicode telugu font by Microsoft shipped with windowsXp) *****looks as intended Potana ( unicode telugu font from kavya-nandanam site ) **doesn't look as good as Gautami but works ok NOTE: I don't know if you can download the fonts from internet. but I found this link on GOOGLE where you can download the fonts and extract the Gautami font into your C:\Windows\Font directory which will do all the magic. http://www.computingbydsn.demon.co.uk/ NOTE:There is a known font rendering problem with all Netscape Navigator versions. These Gecko based browsers have problems with the telugu script and will be addressed later when time permits. Any one is welcome to help in this area. You Can Help!!I humbly request the site visitors to report the problems associated with the font display. just saying that "I couldn't see your font on my system" doesn't help me much to resolve the issues. So, a better way to notify me about the font problem is to furnish the following details.1) what operating sytem are you using? ( Dos, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000/me, WindowsXP, Linix RedHat/Suse/Debian..., Mac etc) 2) what browser version are you using? ( Internet Explorer 4.0/5.0/5.5/6.0, Netscape Navigator 4.7/6x/7x, Mozilla etc) 3) what telugu font is installed on your system? ( none, Gautami, Potana, Tikkana, HemaLatha etc) 4) it may be helpful if you can provide me the screenshot of the garbage displayed. ( just press Print Screen key on the key board to take the screenshot and save it using any graphical editor) My Time!!I am getting a lot of requests everyday regarding fonts on this site ever since I started this fun project. But what I'm lacking is TIME and RESOURCES to test this site completely on various platforms. I assure you that, I'l do by best to test the site on whatever possible platform I come across. but it will take time. |
